not too slow and not too fast, but a real good time while it lasts

Styles

Just like in other art forms, tattooing includes a wide range of styles — realism, micro realism, hyper-realism, dotwork, fineline, neo-traditional, old school, japanese, anime, and many others. I consider myself a versatile tattoo artist who enjoys exploring a bit of everything. However, my portfolio reflects my greatest passions: old school, Japanese, anime, and neo-traditional. When choosing a tattoo, it’s important to pick a style that truly resonates with who you are as a person.

Body Placement

Getting a tattoo is an important decision, as is choosing the placement on your body. The body has shapes that vary from person to person, with twists that change according to natural movement. In addition, your anatomy — curves, muscles, and prominent bones — also influences how the tattoo will look. That’s why it’s essential to consider all of these aspects when deciding on your tattoo.

Final Decision

It’s important to do careful research. Reading books about tattoos, learning about styles, cultures, and meanings are all essential steps. Understanding that the theme you choose may work better in certain styles and contexts also makes a big difference. The approach and tattoo artist you choose will have a direct impact on the final result. A well-done tattoo, in the right style, is a true work of art that becomes a permanent part of your body and can boost your self-esteem.

this is
who I am

I was born in Castelo Branco in the scorching summer of August 1980.  That same year, life decided to add an exotic twist and sent me to the island of Faial in the Azores. I spent my early years among boats, sailors, cows, and a mischievous volcano. At 5, without a say in the matter, I returned to Castelo Branco. Early on, I learned that life rarely asks for permission to change. But being stubborn, I felt the need to express myself artistically and started building my own toys. A little inventor with no budget.

At 10, I got my first camera. It was love at first click—a way to steal moments from time. At 15, I joined an Arts & Crafts course and realized creativity is wild, somewhere between a panda and rock ‘n’ roll. I designed t-shirts, painted walls (some legally, some… less so), and mastered the fine art of outrunning local police. At 17, I formed the Metal/Hardcore band Out Standing.

At 20, I moved to Coimbra to study Design and Communication, bringing along my youthful enthusiasm and chronic lack of sleep. In 2001, my band Out Standing released “Increasing the Cabal” under the Spanish label Dro East West—a noisy, cathartic adventure.

By 2007, I founded the Play Me agency as Art Director—essentially, getting paid to have ideas and sleep less then I did before.

2018 took me to Viseu as Brand Manager at Piranha Global—blending creativity with ink. 2020 I returned to Castelo Branco. Since 2021, I split my time between creative direction and tattooing at Wild Heart Tattoo Parlour.

Life has been an improvised riff—sometimes on key, sometimes off—but always part of the melody. Nothing was fully planned, but every choice proved that creating is the best way to live.
